A nineteenth century Colonial style home built in 2005, with forty-two acres of fields, woodlands and sweeping views of the Green Mountains. The landscape design focuses on settling the newly built house in its open surroundings and connecting separate buildings with a half-acre pond and trails through the surrounding woods. The farm wall style stonework, native trees, and simple perennial plantings reflect a traditional New England aesthetic. Intimate areas nearest the house include a kitchen garden, mixed perennial plantings, weathered granite terrace, and a boulder framed outdoor spa. The owners continue to develop areas of the landscape each year, planting indigenous trees and shaping intermediate views and habitats along the surrounding old hedgerows.
