Ogden & Chalmers LLC is a landscape design business based in southern Vermont. Our projects vary significantly in scale, from master plans for undeveloped properties to refinements of existing landscapes, and include both residential and commercial work.
We approach landscape architecture as a performative process in which concepts, materials and construction offer equally in creating spaces that in turn shape our experiences. We emphasize construction as a continuum of design, and find few moments in landscaping are more subtle or rewarding than the molding of earth, setting of stones, and arranging of trees and plants.
It is the synthesis of ideas, design and construction that engages landscape architecture as a work in process – we see our landscapes as the beginnings of spaces and experiences that will evolve and endure for generations.
